How can I book the caravan?

Booking our caravan is easy and convenient. You can choose from the following options:

  • Call or WhatsApp: Contact us directly by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to our dedicated booking number at +91 9930104000. Our team will assist you with the reservation process, answer any questions you may have, and guide you through the booking steps.
  • Online Form: Visit our website and navigate to the “Get in Touch” page. Fill out the provided form with your contact information, preferred rental dates, and any specific requirements or inquiries you may have. Our team will promptly respond to your form submission and assist you with the booking process.
  • Instagram Direct Message: You can also reach out to us via Instagram by sending a direct message (DM) to our account @vantrippers.in. Our team will be happy to assist you with your booking and provide any necessary information or guidance.

How much does it cost to rent the caravan?

How many people can the caravan accommodate?

Our caravan can accommodate a group of 8 persons comfortably. Here’s a breakdown of the travel and accommodation arrangements:

Caravan: The caravan itself can accommodate up to 6 persons. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities, including beds, a kitchenette, a washroom with a shower, air-conditioning, a smart TV with Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The 6 members of your group can travel and sleep inside the caravan.

Tent: Additionally, we provide a tent with the caravan to accommodate 2 more persons. The tent is included as part of the rental package and can be set up at campsites or suitable locations along your journey. The tent offers a separate sleeping space for those two individuals, providing a comfortable and private sleeping arrangement.

With this setup, your group of 8 persons can travel together and have suitable accommodation arrangements both inside the caravan and in the provided tent. This allows everyone to enjoy the journey while ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience.

What is included in the rental price?

  • Driver and Helper:
    We offer the option to hire a driver and helper for your caravan rental. This allows you to relax and enjoy your journey while leaving the driving and other tasks to experienced professionals. The driver and helper can assist with navigation, setting up the caravan at campsites, and other related responsibilities. Please inquire about the availability and cost of hiring a driver and helper when making your reservation.
  • Meals (Ready to eat):
    To enhance your convenience, we can provide ready-to-eat meals for your caravan trip. These meals are pre-packaged and designed to be easily prepared and enjoyed during your journey. We offer a variety of meal options to cater to different dietary preferences and requirements. Please inquire about the availability, menu options, and additional charges for the ready-to-eat meals when making your reservation.

Additional Amenities:
We understand the importance of a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. Therefore, we offer a range of additional amenities to enhance your trip. These amenities may include:

  • Tents: We can provide tents for camping, allowing you to set up a cozy sleeping area outside the caravan.
  • Camping Table and Chairs: We offer camping tables and chairs for outdoor dining and relaxation.
  • Barbecue (BBQ) Equipment: If you wish to indulge in outdoor cooking, we can provide barbecue equipment for your convenience.
  • Board Games: To add some entertainment to your journey, we offer a selection of board games for you to enjoy during your downtime.
  • Sports Equipment: We can provide equipment for activities like badminton, enabling you to engage in outdoor fun.
  • Bed Sheets, Pillows, and Blankets: We provide essential bedding items, including bed sheets, pillows, and blankets, for a comfortable night’s sleep.

What is not included in the rental package?

  • State and Toll Taxes: Additional state taxes will be applicable as per the regulations of the respective states you visit. These taxes are imposed by the state governments and are in addition to the rental price. Toll charges for using highways or bridges may also apply during your journey.
  • Parking Charges: Depending on the locations you visit, there might be parking charges at certain campsites, attractions, or designated parking areas. These charges are typically imposed by the respective authorities managing the parking facilities.
  • Electricity Charging at Campsites: At some campsites, there may be charges for electricity usage if you choose to connect the caravan to the available power supply. These charges cover the cost of electricity consumption during your stay at the campsite.
  • Fuel Charges (if opted for package without fuel): If you opt for a rental package without fuel included, you will be responsible for refueling the caravan before returning it. The fuel charges will depend on the distance traveled and the prevailing fuel prices at the time of return. Please ensure that the caravan is returned with the same fuel level as at the time of pick-up.

It’s important to note that these charges may vary based on the specific locations, duration of stay, and individual circumstances. We recommend discussing these charges with our customer service team or reviewing the terms and conditions provided during the reservation process to obtain accurate and up-to-date information.

What are the check-in and check-out times for the rental? Is there a charge for early check-in or late check-out?

Our standard timings are as follows:

  • Day Trip: Check-in at 6 am and check-out at 12 am (18 hours)
  • Overnight Trip: Check-in at 2 pm and check-out at 11 am the next day (21 hours)

We understand that sometimes you may want to extend your stay or have an early arrival. We do allow early check-in and late check-out depending on the availability of the caravan. Please note that additional charges will apply for these requests. The charges for early check-in or late check-out are Rs.750 per hour, up to a maximum of 6 hours. Beyond 6 hours, a full day’s charge will be applied for the extra usage.

Please note that early check-in and late check-out options are subject to the booking schedule of the caravan and may not be available during peak periods. We recommend contacting our team in advance to discuss your requirements and make the necessary arrangements.

What amenities are included in the caravan?

The caravan comes equipped with the following amenities:

  • Bed: The caravan is furnished with a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night’s sleep during your travels.
  • Kitchenette: You’ll find a fully functional kitchenette with essential cooking facilities, allowing you to prepare your meals while on the road.
  • Washroom with Shower: The caravan features a washroom complete with a shower, providing you with the comfort and privacy of a personal bathroom.
  • Air-Conditioner: To keep you comfortable in varying weather conditions, the caravan is equipped with an air-conditioning system.
  • Smart TV with Wi-Fi: Stay entertained and connected during your journey with a Smart TV equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Mini Fridge: A mini fridge is provided for storing perishable items and keeping your beverages cool.
  • Microwave: For added convenience, a microwave is available for quick heating and cooking.

Is there a security deposit required?

Yes, a security deposit of Rs.10,000 will be collected at the time of booking. The purpose of the security deposit is to provide coverage for any damages that may occur during your trip.

Security Deposit Refund:
The refund will be processed within 5 working days after the completion of the trip. Upon inspecting the caravan and its amenities for any damages, the security deposit will be returned to you in full if no damages are found. The inspection is typically conducted to ensure that the caravan and its amenities are in the same condition as at the start of the rental period.

Please note that any applicable deductions, such as repair costs for damages beyond normal wear and tear or missing items, will be assessed and deducted from the security deposit. The remaining amount will then be refunded to you.

What are the payment terms and the cancellation charges?

We have the following payment schedule and cancellation policy in place for your convenience:

Payment Schedule:

Upon booking, a 30% payment is required to secure your reservation.
The balance payment is due within 7 days of the booking confirmation.

Cancellation Charges:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days prior to the trip: No charges apply.
  • Cancellation between 20 and 30 days prior to the trip: 50% of the booking amount will be charged.
  • Cancellation between 10 and 20 days prior to the trip: 75% of the booking amount will be charged.
  • Cancellation within 10 days of the trip: 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

Can I make changes to my reservation?

Subject to availability, you may be able to change your reservation dates without incurring any cancellation fees. Please contact our customer service team to discuss the options.

Are there any age restrictions?

No, there are no age restrictions for individuals who wish to rent and travel in our caravans. We welcome people of all age groups to enjoy the freedom and adventure that caravan travel offers. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or as a solo traveler, our caravans are available to provide you with a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Are there any specific provisions for senior-citizens?

While our caravan can be used by people of all age groups, including senior citizens, and we strive to provide an inclusive experience, we currently do not have specific provisions or modifications to cater to the needs of senior citizens or individuals using wheelchairs.

It’s important to note that the caravan may not be wheelchair accessible, and it may have certain limitations that could pose challenges for individuals with mobility issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can I pick up and drop off the caravan at different locations?

Yes, we offer the convenience of picking up and dropping off the caravan at locations outside of Thane and Mumbai. We can send the caravan to your preferred location across India.

If you require the caravan to be picked up from a location outside Mumbai, additional charges will be added to the rental price based on the actual distance traveled up to the pickup location.

We understand that your convenience is important, and we strive to accommodate your needs. To arrange pickup and drop-off at a different location, please contact our customer support team during the reservation process. They will provide you with the necessary details and assist in determining the fuel cost for the additional distance.

Please note that pickup and drop-off locations outside of Thane and Mumbai are subject to feasibility and availability. We recommend contacting our customer service team in advance to discuss your requirements and make the necessary arrangements.

Are there any restrictions on where I can travel with the rented caravan?

We provide the freedom to take the caravan to any place of your choice. We do not impose any fixed routes or limitations on your travel plans. You are free to explore and enjoy your desired destinations at your own pace.

Itinerary Planning Assistance:
While we don’t have fixed routes, we are more than happy to assist you in planning your itinerary based on our experiences and knowledge of popular destinations. Our team can provide recommendations, suggest scenic routes, highlight must-visit attractions, and offer insights into camping spots and other relevant information. Can I take the caravan to any place within India?

Certainly! You have the freedom to take the caravan to any place within India. Whether you wish to explore the serene landscapes of the Himalayas, the sandy beaches of Goa, or discover the cultural treasures of Rajasthan, our caravans are ready to accompany you on your journey.

Please note that certain state taxes may apply when taking the caravan to another state within India. These taxes are imposed by the respective state governments and are in addition to the rental price. The specific tax rates and charges may vary depending on the state you visit.

How do you ensure the safety measures of the caravan?

Our caravan is equipped with a range of security features to ensure your safety throughout your trip. Some of the security measures include:

CCTV Cameras: Our caravan is equipped with CCTV cameras on the outer side for continuous monitoring. This helps enhance the security of the vehicle and its surroundings.

Locking Systems: The caravan features robust locking systems, including secure doors and windows, to prevent unauthorized access.

Secure Storage: Our caravan provides secure storage compartments to safely store your belongings during the journey. These compartments are designed to keep your valuables protected.

Emergency Exits: Caravan is equipped with emergency exits for quick and safe evacuation in the event of an emergency.

During the trip, who will be doing the cleaning work of the caravan?

As part of our service, the helper accompanying the caravan will be responsible for the cleaning work associated with the caravan. Their duties will include maintaining cleanliness and tidiness inside the caravan, ensuring that it remains in a presentable and comfortable condition throughout your trip.

The helper will take care of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and keeping the interior of the caravan clean and organized. This ensures that you can enjoy a clean and hygienic living space during your journey.

Having a dedicated helper to handle the cleaning responsibilities allows you to focus on your travel experience and makes your trip more convenient and enjoyable.

Do you provide a driver with the caravan?

Yes. Having a dedicated driver and helper allows you to relax and enjoy your journey while leaving the driving and other related tasks to experienced professionals. The driver and helper will ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.

Non-Self-Driven Caravan:
Please note that our caravans are not self-driven vehicles. Due to the nature of this type of vehicle, special permits and specific licensing may be required from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to operate them. Therefore, our caravans come with a driver and helper who are trained and licensed to drive and manage the caravan effectively.

By providing a driver and helper, we ensure that you can focus on enjoying your trip without worrying about the driving and logistical aspects. They will handle the navigation, setting up the caravan at campsites, and other related responsibilities, ensuring your journey is safe and comfortable.

Where will the driver and the helper sleep?

As per your arrangement, the driver and helper will have separate sleeping arrangements. They will be provided with a separate tent to accommodate them during the trip. This ensures privacy and allows them to rest comfortably.

Accommodation for Drivers and Helpers:
In some cases, certain hotels or campsites may have provisions to accommodate drivers and helpers separately. If a hotel or campsite allows and provides suitable accommodation for drivers and helpers, they may be accommodated there, subject to the owner’s agreement. This arrangement can be discussed and coordinated with the owner based on their policies and availability.

Our team will work closely with the hotel or campsite owners to ensure that suitable arrangements are made for the driver and helper at each location. We understand the importance of their rest and comfort during the journey.
