Ratnagiri

The city of Ratnagiri is a port city on the Arabian Sea coast in the state of Maharashtra, India. The Ratnagiri district, the capital of the Konkan region and famous for Alfonso Mango, birthplace of Indian liberation movement leader Balhi Gangadhar Tilak, Shivaji's fort, etc., has many tourist attractions. It is blessed with beautiful pristine beaches.
Pawas is known as the Ashram of Swami Swaropanand and is located about 20 km from the town of Ratnagiri. Ganesh Gur, a village a few kilometers before Pawas, has a beautiful pristine beach.
On the north side of Ratnagiri there are two beaches called Aarey - Warey and Malgund beach. Ganapatipur is a sacred destination located just 25 km from Ratnagiri town.
